Bobbie is a tiling pro!

Pastor Bill's devotion and communion given on the beach. He reflected on the act of service being an aspect of worship, and this week we did some worshiping!

Final Day...Let's get er finished !

Lee the homeowner with his "Tiling Ladies".
Jim & Larry cutting one by's for a door jamb.

Hey Larry, measure twice cut once !

Paula wasn't smiling a minute ago..... it's only for the camera. These girls worked hard and were able to finish that floor just before we had to leave. Thank God for knee pads !

Can I get off my knees now Paula, I promises not to make another wrong cut.

CRAWDADS

How Could I Forget.....them CRAWDADS ?
One homeowner brought 20lbs of delicious Lousianna fare for the team that worked at his house. We had enough left to share with ALL the teams. The secret to eating them is to rip the tail off & suck the juice out of the head & eat the meat out of the tail. YUMMY !

Lots Of Fun Today !

Ally "Rocks" as the DuRock Queen. Janet tiles so well, you'd a thought she was a pro.

Larry painting moulding. Brian & Bill playing "Insulation Destination".
Who's the boss here??????

It's Thursday And Our Work Week Is Almost Over !

Can hardly believe it's Thursday already. We only have 1 more work day left, so I need to crack that whip tomorrow so we can finish some projects.

The Paxson's jobsite was hanging their 1st piece of drywall this afternoon What a job that insulation was to put on the ceilings. Not because it was too high, but there is sooooo much stuff you have to move or try to work around.

MORE PHOTOS

I keep getting booted off the internet so the posts don't quite flow as they should...and I am doing this when I ought to be out working, don 't tell the team though.
Here is Janet, , Donna, Dave & Jim. Jim went fishing yesterday, right out the back door.

THANKS VIOLA !!

APRIL FOOL"S DAY

Today is April Fool's Day. The guys woke up to find the Men's room had been transformed overnight. There were butterflies everywhere, even on the toilet seats & the roll of TP. Sitting on the vanity were feminine hygene products and little mirrors in the stalls & above the urnal, with funny sayings on them. A pink fly swatter with a big flower on it hung on the wall. I wonder who could have done all that?????
Viola our cook, has seen to it that we never go hungry. We had so much chicken breast leftover last night that they took it today in their lunches. Way to go Vi, that will score you some points. (I still miss our old team cooks, Terri and Barry, who I know will be reading this blog.)

That's Brian & the home owner of this new construction project. We only worked there a few hours. There were menonite & amish guys on that job.

This pic was taken in New Orlean's on Sunday.

Sun"Ray" or Sunrise????

Ray & Joan are going to install railings and ballasters on that balcony & down the steps. There is always something to laugh at when Ray is around. He IS our entertainment ! Thanks Ray.

Jim did a great job with devotions. He demonstrated that even though we may not have much in common with one another, our common bond is Christ, and it is why we serve so well together.
For those of you who have been here before, you will remember the AWESOME sunrises.
With each new sunrise in Mississippi this week, we will have another opportunity to share the Love of Christ with those around us. Remember to Pray for our team today.

What A Day !!!

Mondays are always interesting at Camp Gulfside. Seldom does anything go as we thing it will at the jobsite.
We went to 5 different locations and found that there was a lot of work on our to do list that had been already completed by the homeowners over the weekend. And there was work to do that never even made it onto the list. Materials were not at a site and the homeowners at another site wanted to tackle some of the items on our list themselves.
We took time after devotions to hear reports from each work site.
Some of the team had opportunities to listen to personal stories from their homeowners. Dave and Janet had a cabinet delivery man share his touching story with them. Many of us had people throughout the day thank us again & again for coming to help not only them, but their neighbors and family members.

Here are a few pics from our trip thus far:
